Dad's quilt
A sample quilt I made for bolt, when I taught this quilt class.
I gave it to my dad for his birthday! Yay!
The back.
Up close of the button detail.
I used about 10 buttons, scattered on the intersections. I tied the quilt instead of quilting it, because I won't have time to teach quilting in the class. It would look cute quilted, but the simple design is well suited to tying. The squares are 5" cut, so finished, the quilt is about 40"x50". I used a crib sized Warm & Natural batting. The fabrics on the top are all Michael Miller.
