
So, it's a cake pan that is segmented to provide different size pieces of cake for each of your picky guests. Would it bake correctly? I would worry that the thick pieces would be undercooked while the thin pieces would dry out. But maybe I'm the one who is picky about her piece of cake?

That's so funny! I don't think it actually seperates the pieces, I think it just gives you a guideline for cutting them on top. It would be quite useful to have a cake pan that would allow you to have 1/2 and 1/2 cakes, though -- I just recently experienced a birthday party where most of the adults loved the lemon cake, but most of the children were disappointed it wasn't chocolate! But, I guess you can never please everyone.
You can make 1/2 & 1/2 cakes with any cake pan, just pour in both batters at once on opposite sides! You may get a little swirl action in the center, but that's cool too ;)
