Tote-able Towel

A quickie post -- this is the towel that I made for Orion. He is starting swim lessons next week and I thought this might make toting his towel a little easier on us.

It's from Anna Maria Horner's tutorial, modified with a shorter strap, so it just fits over his 4 1/2 year old shoulder. He can also wear the strap across his body, which he thinks is great too!

In other news, my brother and his wife just had a baby girl!!! We didn't know the gender before the birth and we are THRILLED to have a girl in the family!!! Gretel June was born on the 29th, happy and healthy and all are doing well! I'm headed there now to have another visit before we leave town for the holiday weekend!

Cute bag and congrats on the new member of your family. :)

I found your blog via sew mama sew and I'm working through from the beginning, looking for inspiration for quick projects. (And photos of your cute children!) I'm in Portland as well, with an 11-month old girl, and I sew, too.

We have so much in common! :)~

Congrats to Casey and the family--Yippee to have a girl to sew for (let me know if you need to borrow girly patterns, of which I have many)

re the towel: I'm making this! In time for next week's swimming lessons to start.
